Hello! I asked few people this question but i want a lot of answers and i wanna go in depth.

I've played smash a lot on my 3DS but i also play a lot on the WiiU, so i have a big question now. A lot of people usually say that if people use their 3DS for smash, they break it. Well I don't do that, i have a huge fear for breaking my 3DS and i am a calm player. I have been to a few real life tournaments and use my 3DS as a controller, and never got in trouble for it ever. So my question is: Is the New 3DS allowed to be used as a controller for the WiiU competitively at all? Do i have to use my Gamecube controller if i want to play competitively? I dont like to use it ever. It's very weird and since i main Pikachu; if i try to use Thunder Jolt it just turns me backward with the Game Cube controller and it never does that on my 3DS. I also cannot short hop on my Game Cube controller for the life of me. So i want to know desperately if it's used for real life competitive play. And not just local either.
